Seoul trail courses

Seoul Trail(Dule-gil) has a total length of 156.5km and is an eight-course walk that combines Seoul's history, culture, and natural ecology into a story so that domestic and foreign visitors can feel, learn, and experience it. Seoul Trail consists of Forest Road, river path, and Village Road, where rest facilities, book cafes, and shelters were created throughout the Trail to allow citizens to relax naturally, and to experience Seoul's history, culture, and natural ecology.
It is easy to access by public transportation and is mainly made of dirt roads that are not steep, so anyone can use it safely and comfortably.

 

How to get the Seoul Trail stamp and the Seoul Trail Completion Certificate 
The Seoul Trail has 28 stamping sites in the shape of a mailbox. Each of them has a stamp, and the impression shows that you were there. As you can see below, each stamp has a unique story about its location. Stamp impressions left in the stamp book help you remember where you visited along the Seoul Trail.

    Please visit the Seoul Trail Information Center. They check the exposure of 28 stamps, ask them to fill out a survey questionnaire, and issue a certificate.

Detailed Course 1 Information (through Suraksan and Buramsan)

This course runs along Dobongsan Station-Suraksan Mountain-Buramsan Mountain-Hwarangdae Station. Both Suraksan Mountain and Buramsan Mountain are rocky mountains, but despite the hills and valleys, the Seoul Trail running along the mountain path is not too strict.

Detailed Course 2 Information (through Yongmasan and Achasan)

This course passes through Hwarangdae Station - Mudongcheon Stream - Mangusan Mountain - Yongmasan Mountain - Ahasan - Gwangnaru Station. The section along the ridge between Yongmasan Mountain and Gwangnaru Station offers particularly wonderful views. In Manggu Cemetery, there are tombs of famous people such as Han Young-woon and Bang Jung-hwan.

Detailed Course 3 Information (through Godeok and Iljasan)

This course travels along Gwangnaru Station, Hangang River, Goseoksan Mountain, Iljasan Mountain, Tancheon Stream, and Suseo Station. This course extends along the Han River, Seongnaecheon Stream, and Tancheon Stream. A forest path through the gentle slopes of Goseoksan Mountain and Iljasan Mountain; a path through the village. Routes through urban areas, villages, and forests include local history, legends, and stories about villages. It is difficult to cover the entire course in one day, so it is recommended that you do it two or three times.

Detailed Course 4 Information (through Daemosan and Umyeonsan)

The course follows Suseo Station-Daemosan Mountain-Kuryongsan Mountain-Wuhyeonsan Mountain-Sadan Station. This course runs along a gentle slope, making it easy to enjoy beautiful natural scenery. The section along the downtown of Yeocheon Stream between Guryongsan Mountain and Yeonwusan Mountain, the section connecting Yangjae Citizen's Forest, and Yangjaecheon Stream is a flat and cozy road.

Detailed Course 5 Information (through Gwanaksan Mountain)

The course travels along the divisional, Samseongsan, and Seoksu stations. Gwanaksan Mountain has many rock climbing courses, but the part of the Seoul Trail passing through Gwanaksan Mountain is formed along the road at the foot of the mountain. This road provides natural scenic beauty and features many historical and cultural sites along the road. Most sections are a rather rigorous process through the forest. This course is suitable for nature lovers.

Detailed Course 6 Information (through the Anyangcheon Stream)

This course travels along Seoksu Station - Anyangcheon Stream, Han River, and Gayang Station. This is a rather long section of the trail, but most sections are flat paths along the stream. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Anyangcheon Stream and Han River that change with the season.

Detailed Course 7 Information (through Bongsan and Aengbongsan)

This course passes Gayang Station - Han River - World Cup Park - Bulgwangcheon Stream Stream - Bongsan Mountain - Saengbongsan Mountain - Gupabal Station. The Bulgwangcheon Stream – Gayang Station section is a flat road, and the Bongsan-Ambongsan section is a gentle slope across the forest. In the World Cup Park –  Bulgwangcheon Stream section, you can enjoy the comfort of a well-restored ecological park.

Detailed Course 8 Information (through Bukansan)

The course follows Gupabal Station - Mt. Buchan - Mt. Dobongsan - Mt. Dobong. This section of the trail has dense forests, beautiful scenery, ecological parks, old temples, Seoul walls, and royal tombs. The views along the trail show great views of Seoul and nearby mountains. This is the longest section of the trail and it is recommended that you plan to visit the section several times. The course includes many stories and has many things to see.
